Large Hadron Collider, what for?

Buried under the French-Swiss border, the Large Hadron Collider has gotten its share of ink--and for good reason. Hearing about the sheer magnitude and price of what's been called the biggest and most expensive scientific experiment in human history is enough to instill fascination and excitement in even the most non-particle-physicists among us. Once it's running at full capacity, the project's researchers say, the $5.3 billion LHC, the biggest particle accelerator ever built, will be able to answer questions physicists never thought they'd get answers to, like why the universe formed the way it did and why matter has mass. Critics of the project say it could have the opposite effect, leading not to knowledge but instead humanity's demise.

How come a teacher to assign a seminar to be presented in 4 days? Every semester I study in UFRN I met more and more dull teachers. They don't care whether the students are able to do it in such little time. Mercy is not a trait.

When the flow turns backwards

Sometime you learn things in life during the harsh situation, which forces you to make a stand, to be tough whenever you want to be yourself undestood. I consider these situations as a lesson for me. I know God is on the control of everything and He won't disapoint me. He never did.

Is there a class that you disliked the way you behaved as a teacher? I mean, did the words escaped from your mouth in a way to never come back? or got confused upon a subject you studied carefully before? It sucks isn't?

Re-read or continue to read, this is the very question. I made up a custom of re-reading a story I just ended to read for fathom the moments I didn't understad at all. But here I come to a dilemma, whether to read it all over again, or continue reading other stories of the same book (eg. the adventures of Sherlock Holmes). The most prudent conclusion I has reached is to keep on reading no matter what.

How come there are men in this world who can't stand a good and relaxing sleep after a torturing routine of nowadays? I can't understand why. My brain tilts if dare to fathom this weir and absurd behavior, I men what did bed to make some people hate them?

Yesterday, I finished reading the story about a woman who defeated Sherlock Holmes in his own game. The master of investigation always spoke about woman with a secret despise, but a woman accomplished in archieving his respect by the intelingence and strong-minded she has.

What's the difference between conventionalism and idiomaticy?

I've been studying the theory behind the kinds of fixed expressions the english language has, and this bring us, the poor student who doesn't have enough money to effort a trip to a english speaker country. We have to learn these expression within its original context, naturally, it means the impossibility to digest them since we live in Brazil.

On some minutes ago, I had been reading an article analyzing the state of marriage in the western culture, unfortunatly, the research conclusion may surprise even the optmistic one. About 50% of marriages in United States ends up in divorce, and this rate isn't an exception on industrialized countries. There is a worldwide tendency to marriage extinction.



In this relation world, the Bible's position on this subject is still the best for the human being and I'm on it, ya know?

Know how to write is not as easy as we think, it's not only putting the words together and hope the reader understand what do you really meant, organizing the ideas in the clearest way is the first step to be understandble.

It's very beautiful to me the things only God have the power to do. How He makes happy the most unhappy person, binded by the trap of drugs, sadness, only God can fulfill the gap within the hearts of human. Only He can produce everlasting joy, peace, love.
